Durable... All our materials are chosen for a long, hard life. Most surfaces are renewable (by use of mild abrasives) or refinishing (paint, varnish, oil). Since there isn’t a kitchen on earth that hasn’t been awash for some reason at some time, all our materials can take a wetting.
Cabinets are made of solid wood, stainless steel or moisture resistant MFC. In a contemporary storyboard of metals and ceramics, beech can look sensational. Pine is usually appropriate In Victorian houses, oak in older settings.
Drawer boxes are solid wood with dovetail joints. Drawer bottoms are solid wood tongue and groove or plywood. Drawers can be fitted with traditional runners or with the beautifully engineered Blumotion system. We have lots of options for interior detail: cutlery trays, dividers, plate stacking etc.
Doors are solid pine, oak, beech, cherry, ash; aluminium and glass, stainless steel and acrylic. Doors are butt-hinged and frame-fitted in most of our traditional kitchens. In contemporary kitchens we use high quality concealed hinges.
Worktops are solid beech, maple, iroko, oak, acrylic composite, granite, stainless steel.
